According to a recent BBC article “When Elvis Presley died in August 1977, he was reported to have around $5m (£3m) in the bank.
Last year, earnings from his estate reached an estimated $55m, second only in posthumous worth to Michael Jackson.”
What an incredible achievement and an amazing legacy to leave your family.
With a valuable brand comes additional marketing… the people who’ve bought the brand will be keen to see a return on investment. As a result, Elvis will apparently be releasing a Christmas song with Susan Boyle this year – thanks to the wonders of modern technology. And I suspect we can expect plenty more where that came from.
